Who We Are |
We believe in the oneness of the Godhead, Jesus Name baptism, and receiving the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues.
We strive to show a Godly love to every person who enters the sanctuaries. Our hearts are mission minded - and our mission is leading others to the God who can save, Jesus Christ. |
Our History |
In 1975, Pastor Ray Wood felt the desire to start a small mission work in Mt. Vernon, GA. He began his work in a small red building on HWY 280 with hardly more in his congregation than his own family of 7. After several years of dedication, sweat and prayers, God made a way. Land was donated by a townsman and Mt. Vernon Pentecostal church moved to its current location. Throughout the years, we have experienced hardships, sadness, blessings and joy - but through it all we have found that God's favor goes before those He loves.
Several decades later, God placed a burden for Toombs County on the heart and mind of Pastor Henry Lamb. Pastor Lamb, a member of Mt. Vernon Pentecostal Church, acquired land in Toombs County. A small trailer was transformed in to a sanctuary. In 2010, Pastor Henry Lamb open the doors of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church. Although this is a small mission work, plans are already in the work for the future . Great things come in small packages - and great things are happening at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church. The organization is in the process of building a campground. The campground, to be named Liberty Campground, will share a location with Cornerstone Pentecostal Church. The purpose of the campground will be to serve the needs of our community by having a central location for revivals, camps, and relaxation. We have witnessed first hand what a vision and purpose can accomplish. "Where there is no vision, the people perish..." Proverbs 29:18a |
